Photographer's Note

The inner yard of the 18th century caravanserai (which happened to be my hotel for one night) at dusk.

Sheki is often referred to as the most beautiful town in Azerbaijan but I didn't fall in love with it (a bit like Gert and Krakow but for different reasons as there weren't really many tourists there). However, in the evening, with the lights on, the imam calling and the deep blue sky above my head, it was one of the most wonderful moments of my trip.

In WS a photo of the outside of the caravanserai by day and Sheki main square.
