Photographer's Note

The Flame Towers in Baku are built on the hill above the city and are visible form almost all the parts. One can go up the hill close to the towers using stairs or funicular. From the hill, there is a magnificent view of the bay. I went there twice, the first time I was there during the day, then I went to see the view in the blue hour (more or less) and in the night. I liked the view of the mosque and its minarets in front of one of the towers.

The Mosque of the Martyrs (Şəhidlər məscidi), also popularly known as the Turkish Mosque, is a mosque near the Martyrs' Lane. The mosque was built in the beginning of the 1990s with the assistance of the Turkish government. The mosque currently is used as an official residence of religious attaché of the Turkish embassy (Wikipedia)
