Photographer's Note
I came across this young chap while walking between the large and small Buddhas in Bamiyan. He stopped for us but he wasn't very keen on a lot of photos. After taking a snap from the normal angle, I clicked this one from down at my side. The lower perspective seems to give a more dramatic view and by luck the donkey's ears are in just the right place.

Great one! The low and wide view is a very eye catching look, emphasizing the features of the donkey and the boy. The two of them seem perfectly placed, and as you say, te donkey's ears are just right. The boy's expression is very interesting too. The unconventional treatment really works well. I like this one a lot!

Hi Jonathan, indeed a nice PoV. Lovely capture this way, and yes the donkey's ears are nice. I was looking for some bridles, but I guess there are more donkeys, and he's part of a group. I know you can do a bit with your knees and weught. (Was just curious, as I have ridden a horse for a long time).

Yes Jonathan - a great pov, very dynamic. Whether by luck or good management or a bit of both, the composition has turned out really well. Terrific light and lovely natural-looking but well saturated colours. Nice work!

Hi Jonathan,
Nice shot, great POV. Maybe the boy isn't smiling, but I think he hasn't a lot of reason to do so.

Hi Jonathan,
I have to say that it's very dificult to choose a photo from your wonderful gallery! This one captured my attention because of the original angle. I think I've said before that I love close shots with distortion of the perspective and this one is a good example. Yes, it gives a more dramatic result and the donkey head is very very nice! And you still got the mountains in the background. The kid seems to have an older face than he really must be...
All the best,
Ricardo

Great pov!
i like the way the donkeys head is allmost touching the screen, very untraditional view.
