Portrait of a chinstrap penguin (Pygoscelis antarctica).

The chinstrap penguin is a species of penguin which inhabits a variety of islands and shores in the Antarctic Ocean. Its name derives from the narrow black band under its head.

Picture taken at the Hydrurga Rocks (648′S 6137′W), a group of rocks lying east of Two Hummock Island, in the Palmer Archipelago, Antarctica.
