Photographer's Note

Takrouna is a village of Tunisia white stone houses perched on top of a high promontory in the fertile Sahel area of Tunisia. The land below is a sea of olive groves. The only way to get to the top is on donkey back or on foot. The village is inhabited by Berber people, who still dress in the traditional way. Work opportunities are limited here, so these two ladies make their living by posing for tourists.
I was going to post this picture a long time ago, but the harsh lighting has blacked out their eyes. I have just learned how to lighten the eyes to make them more visible. What do you think?
