Photographer's Note

Tourbet El-Bey gathers under its beautiful architecture the tombs of the Beys of Tunis (Beys were the Husseinis rulers of Tunis between 1705-1957) and their wives, helpers.

The Tourbet is located in the old Medina of Tunis but not on the 'touristic' path of the Medina thus your best bet is to ask people in the Medina. (It's on the intersection between the Tourbet el-Bey street and Sidi Essourdou street).

It is worth the visit, you have a guide once there who will explain the history and thoughts behind it. A wonderful place to visit full of ceramics, colours and a pieceful haven amongst the buzzing Medina.
