Photographer's Note
If there weren't so many other countries in the world, and so many other places to experience, i'd head back to Tunisia in a heartbeat.
Loved my time here, i only wish i had more photos to share with you. Maybe one day i'll head back.
What you see here is very typical for the locals, especially with the blue doors and white walls.
Can you tell how many people live in this house?
Count the number of door knockers, and you'll find out.
Not only does that tell you the number of people in the family, but each door knock has a different sound.
Have a great weekend everyone!
Cheers
Craig

Hi Craig,
molto bella questa porta blu tutta decorata.
Mi piace la tua scelta compositiva che non si limita soltanto alla vista della porta, ma che include parte dell'edificio dove è inserita.
Well done! TFS!

Hi Craig,
I know well this door in Sidi Bou Said, the finest view there. I have also similar photo (but not on TE). I was in Tunisia in the same year as you, but in February. The doors and windows in Tunisia are really pieces of art. Nice composition, perfect crop and superb colours and sharpness. Nice memories for me.
Have a nice weekend

Hello Craig,
You have composed the shot very well using the wall on the right to direct the viewer into the scene. Attractive blue and white colour contrasts and very good detail, especially in the intricately decorated doorway and the window shutter.

Hi Craig
a wonderfully textured composition this, with a strong light that makes the intricate details stand out so effectively. Impressive light management and effective use of the shadow, without losing definition.
Have a splendid Saturday - Brian.

Bonjour Craig

Amicalement,
Emilius

Hi Craig,
A beautiful picture which could almost have been taken in Greece - it reminds me so much of the pictures taken by one of our joint favourites, Brian Denton, who, of course, has some wonderful pictures from the Greek Islands. Whether or not Tunisia is quite so happy a place as it was when you took this picture, I am not sure.
The composition, colours and sharpness are superb and I just want to walk over and peer over that wall on the right to see what treasures lie below and in the distance.
Beautiful!
Kind Regards,
John.

Hi Craig,
I did not have a chance to see this country but I have seen similar style in some Mediterranean places.
Very attractive composition with some typical and charming elements here. Very nice geometry.
I know what you mean -I have spent great vacations in Egypt, I have seen a lot but my photos are not entirely suitable for TE. And many destinations I have visited without a camera or in the pre-digital times when every click cost some money and it was hard to correct a photo not knowing how the first one came out.
Let's hope we will be able to re-visit some places and visit many new attractive locations in the future.

Hi Craig
Good presentation of this typical house, with good exposure allowing details in the shadow area and no OE in the sunny parts.
Good framing and compo.

it is thus strange to see a Mediterranean photo between your nocturnal in Vancouver: -) The game of lights and shadows is very beautiful one, like also geometries that are repeated between the constructions. charming colors. cheers!

Hi Craig. Wonderful door and window too. Beautiful light-one can almost feel the heat. I like the warm tones being enhanced by the cool blues. Best wishes. Klaudio.
