Photographer's Note

Wandering around the medina of Sousse built in AD 859, is like slipping back a few centuries in history. Narrow lanes are lined with closely packed white houses, blue doors and windows rising up and leaving just a sliver in between surrounded by a two-kilometer circuit of walls with mammoth stone blocks recycled from ancient Roman sites.



It's just as much fun to spend an early morning stroll aimlessly and soaking up the old-world atmosphere with less people around....


Setting: 10 mm, 1/80 sec, F16, ISO Raw 200, 0717 hrs & Polarised
