Mount Mapas Obelisk, a photo from Dublin, South

Photographer's Note

I did my best to show you this obelisk as good as possible, and I finally decided to show it in the light of setting sun.

This photo was taken on the Killiney Hill (Irish: Cnoc Chill Iníon Léinín). It is the southernmost of the two hills which form the southern boundary of Dublin Bay (the other being Dalkey Hill). Crowned by an obelisk, the hill is 153 metres high and offers beautiful views over the surrounding areas: Dublin to the northwest; the Irish Sea and the mountains of Wales (on a clear day) to the east and southeast; and Bray Head and the Wicklow Mountains to the south.

Again I have chosen to use the HDR technique (3 RAW files) although I realise some of you do not apprecie it.

Wow,
monument atrakcyjnoscia dorownuje wejsciu do kosciola ktore wlasnie zaladowalem.
Nie mniej zrobiles znowu cos z niczego.
Doskonala praca. Przede wszystkim zachod slonca fantastyczny. Zgaduje ze bez HDR niebo byloby sporo slabsze no i z pierwszego planu nie byloby zadnych detali tylko zarysy. Zrobiles swietna robote i w ogole nie idac ze to HDR.
Swietne niebo, swietne chmury i doskonale kolory,

swietna robota, ladny obelisk znakomicie pokazany. Zdjecie naprawde dopracowane pod kazdym wzgledem, pelen profesjonalizm! Znakomita kompozycja, ostre detale oraz piekne niebo ktore dodaje dramatyzmu i klimatu. A wszystko to ukazane na tle zachodzacego slonca - super praca. Widze ze nie ma to jak dobrze zrobiony HDR. Przyznam szczerze ze ja jeszcze nie probowalem swych sil w tej nowatorskiej technice. A rezultaty sa czesto zaskakujace, czego dowodem jest min. twoja praca.

Hmmm...
Jest takie miejsce..Glastonbury się zwie i nigdy nie potrafiłam tego sfotografować... a tu cosik podobnego i Mastercard!

Witaj, Swietnie wyszło chociaż i bardzo mi sie podoba, chociaż nie jestem fanka HDRu. Wszystko tu świetnie zagrało, zachód, chmurki, kolorki, obiekt na pagórku tez fajny.

I'm not a very big fan of HDR but this picture is absolutely beautiful.
Really splendid with this obelisk pointing to the dramatic looking sky and the sun appearing from under the dark clouds and giving a nice glow to the sky at the horizon.

obelisk ladnie wkomponowany w kadr, dobra pora do strzalu przed zniknieciem slonca znad horyzontu. Fajny uklad chmur. Efekt koncowy HDR podoba mi sie, moze tylko zaryzykowalbym lekkie rozjasnienie calosci.

Okazuje sie ze Twoja galeria ciagle jest pelna niespodzianek. Zwrocilo moja uwage wlasnie to zdjecie poniewaz przypomina mi jakby scene zywcem wyjeta z "Wladcy pierscieni". Wyglada to jak kadr ze swiata fantasy Tolkiena. Bardzo, bardzo malowniczy obiekt sfotografowany w magicznym oswietleniu.
Masz chlopie podwojny talent: do wynajdywania takich miejsc i fotografowania ich w niepowtarzalnej atmosferze.
