Photographer's Note

The Hebbe Falls at Kemmannu Gundi. This is one of the highest falls of India. Water falls from around 550 feet. It had 2 legs. One is called dodda Hebbe (which in local language means the bigger on) and another is called Chikka Hebbe (Small falls). The bigger is the top leg of the falls and the smaller is situated in the bottom.

There are 2 different trek routes to reach big and small falls. One has to decide which one to reach. The descent from top to bottom falls is very tough route and dangerous.

To reach bottom leg, one can go in a 4 wheel drive up to a coffee estate and walk about 2 KM, or if you wish you can trek the entire route of 8 KM from the town of Kemmannu Gundi
