Photographer's Note

Hello friends and colleagues, today I propose a view of a beautiful sunset on the famous beach of La Caleta with the bottom of the castle of San Sebastian, in the capital of my province, Cádiz, I hope you like, then some letters on the Beach.

La Caleta is a beach located in the historic center of the city of Cádiz (Andalusia, Spain). It was a natural harbor where Phoenician, Carthaginian and Roman ships anchored.

It is the smallest beach in the whole city, and isolated from the rest. Its main attraction lies in its location, a stage that has inspired musicians and poets such as Isaac Albéniz, José María Pemán, Paco Alba and Carlos Cano. It is flanked by the castles of San Sebastián and Santa Catalina, in front of the old Hospital de Mora, the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences and next to the Faculty of Labor Sciences of the Cádiz Campus of the university of the same name, in the neighborhood of La Viña .

It has been the scene of several movies, such as 007: Die Another Day, Alatriste, Manolete and El Amor Brujo.

Cadiz consider it as one of the most emblematic places of their city, being a recurring theme in Carnival songs.
