Photographer's Note
These kids thought it was so funny to be photographed. I took a photo of the boy on the right first. When I showed the kids the image on the camera display, they all wanted to photographed too. It's so much fun photographing when you have such willing and photogenic subjects. Yet another reason why I love photography... and especially digital photography.
technical details: I cropped the top and a little on the right. Sharpened the entire pic using Picasa. The white cap has blown out. Happy to hear suggestions on what to do with that.
BTW. This photo was taken using the often-criticised kit lens of the Canon 300D. If anyone can recommend a better lens, pls contact me.

Children are fun to photograph. They are more natural and less self-conscious in front of the camera than adults.
This is one of those photos that one takes very quickly, without paying much attention to the background. But that's okay. It is a candid shot and it is the children's faces and relationship that make the picture rather than any abstract composition.
I like it.

A candid shot and perfect smiles, well captured Tish! The boys are all varying shades of colors which I like a lot and it makes the picture even more interesting, TFS!

Much to enjoy with you, Tish, great models too, they gave you a nice dynamic of smiles crossing each other, with the staring one perfectly in the center

Great shot - well composed. I like the central figure staring at the lens and the other two in opposite directions.
I love to photograph children and do a lot in Guatemala. I got a Canon 17-85 USM image stabilized lens and find it so versatile. It will give me the closeups of the faces I want, a little wider angle and a decent telephoto too.

A happy group portrait, they seem to be happy and shy at the same moment. I am wondering what they are eating? the colours are so rich and you have chosen a nice angle to sho them, maybe a shallower depth of field would have lift the backgound less prominent.
