Photographer's Note

After a long journey in Southern Africa we arrived to Zanzibar for a relaxing week with sun, bath and restaurants. Beautiful traditional boats everywhere, caught my interest and i decided to read more about them when i returned home.(it was a lovely place by the way):)
Dhow is the generic name of a number of traditional sailing vessels with one or more masts with lateen sails used in the Red Sea and Indian Ocean region. The exact origins of the dhow are lost to history. Most scholars believe that it originated in China from 600 B.C. to 600 A.D (wikipedia)
