Photographer's Note

At the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront in Cape Town, Elliot the iconic Coca Cola Man have been dismantled this winter.

This installation was 18m tall and weighs just over 27 tons with a whopping 4200 empty Coke crates. It have been built for the 2010 FIFA World Cup and was supposed to stay for only a year, but finally spent three year there, as it was so popular with tourists and locals.

It was the creation of Porky Hefer, one of South Africa's most awarded creative people.

In workshop, an alternative view with people around, allowing to get a sense of Elliot's size.
