Photographer's Note

It have taken me 16 months living in South Africa before finally visiting Cape Town, which is located at the opposite of Johannesburg, for about a two hours flight.

Everyone I know have told me how beautiful is this world-class city, so my expectations were high. I wasn't deceived, as you can't imagine a more spectacular scenery for a city, niched between the sea and a stunning mountain. Jaw-dropping landscapes surround the city and driving along the coast is absolutely exhilarating.

The coastal road eventually lead to Cape Peninsula, a mountainous and scenic landform that runs for about thirty kilometres at the extreme southwestern tip of the African continent.

This unusual lighthouse is located at Cape Point, at the southeast corner of Cape Peninsula. The light of the Cape Point lighthouse is the most powerful on the South African coast, with a range of 63 kilometers.
