Photographer's Note

We passed this traditional African stone hut as we drove along the beautiful Meiringspoort Pass to Oudtshoorn.

The hut looked very much like the African Xhosa Huts, which are known to be cone like, made with clay and earth (or sometimes with stone, or smoothed with cement) and thatched in a traditional way with grass held together with wooden brace.
