Photographer's Note

when watching ansd photographing a herd of buffalo in a wallow, they suddenly all got up and bolted, out of the bush came two ladies, part of the Chromolaena clearing project (removing non indigenous plant life) who noncholantly walked right where the buffallo had been and filled thes five gallon containers with water and set back off. Notice the red ocre on her face to protect the workers from the sun. The only protection they had from the wildlife was a guy armed with a four foot long stick.
