Photographer's Note

Our local botanical gardens usually lends itself to some wonderful photos, but on our most recent trip the light was all wrong. Overcast, with a huge featureless sky.
However, this bench caught my eye. There are numerous benches dotted throughout the park, but this one seemed to tranquil, standing in the shade of that huge tree. Unfortunately I couldn't find a bench with an interesting person reading the newspaper, so this isolated one will have to do. *G*

Very inviting, a perfect place to meditate. You've captured the tranquility very well by having a balanced and harmonious composition as well as very earthy colors. This photograph inspired me to work on a theme called 'Benches.' Thanks!

Note: I found out that clochette (Martine Muller) has already a theme called 'Benches/Bancs) so I had to remove mine. But if I had to work on a theme called benches, yours would be the first to be featured.

If this photo don't lie to me, I would take I rest on this bench. I mean, if the view is as great as this place in it's self.

Good composition og balance between colors. Like the way you have got the light part of stones in front and the dark background.

What a great bench. Such a nice spot for it. Seems like a quiet little corner. A great place to sit and relax under all that greenery. I have a little place similar to this at school. It's out of the way in a little niche with a nice small tree over it. It should be waking up soon from its winter slumber. This is a great reminder of such nice and unseen areas. I think it was nice like this rather than having a person at a bench. This is much more serene and adds that feel of it being ignored yet so inviting. Nicely done.
