Photographer's Note

The Sandton City skyline by night. I travel to Johannesburg all the time, and the traffic is terrible. The view of the Sandton skyline can be seen from the guesthouse that I stay at, and from up on the roof, it all seems so far away and pretty. Close up, it is a permanent buzz of activity, and lots of traffic! For those of you that would like to visit Johannesburg, Sandton City is quite a landmark.

I have done the normal fixes to this: sharpen, contrast and a bit of colour saturation. It was a very clear night without a moon, so the sky was very dark. I was hoping to get a good "sky line" I also cropped some of the bottom, as this is mostly dark. There are quite a few trees in the area. This shot was taken probably 10 to 15 kms from the skyline, without additional lenses.
