Photographer's Note
Taken in the same school room as the previous image from Sierra Leone, I somehow manage to distract another curious student while the rest of his classmates look onwards.
The greatest challene in photographing in this building is that of the strong African light streaming in through the few windows, leaving a portion of the room bathed in sunlight and the rest completely dry. Luckily in most cases I was able to snap off two of a single image, the majority between 1/20 and 1/50th of a second - in hope that one would be moderately sharp.

Hi Brittany,
A very nice portrait. Good focus, just enough blur in the background. Good management of light. I couldn't quite put the expression on his face into words. It seem blank, emptiness..hopelessnes at first then there's almost a smile..

Hello Brittany. Again a very expressionful B&W Picture. The direct view of the boy and the outstanding composition make this picture valuable and worth seeing. Very beautifully. Best regards, Wolfgang.

Was not a easy shot but you've got a great result. It's sharped and very well contrasted. And your model was excelent with a great glance.
Congratulation,

Really, really good taken! not only in technical aspects but in the intensity and truth of the moment, the most difficult thing to capture... Bravo!
