Photographer's Note

One thing I really appreciated about the beaches in the Seychelles was the peacefulness and overall lack of development. This is a shot taken at Anse Soleil on Mahé. The day we visited there were no more than eight people at any one time. A little off the beaten track on the south western side of the island, the bay is idyllic; crescent shaped with fine sand and backed by rain forest which provides shade and a haven for red crabs! One small café and a couple of houses belonging to Seychellois was the only development in sight. If you like swimming in clear water and the opportunity to snorkel from the beach this is the place for you.
