Photographer's Note

I'm checking my archives of Senegal and returning to my posts of this country.
This is a very common scene along the coast of Senegal. I took this photo in a fishing port very near Mbour, on the petite côte, by lunch time. When the colourful boats arrive, everyone runs to help, bringing them to the shore and unloading the fish. I've spent some time there, watching this spirit of community, something that is becoming so rare nowadays.
