This picture shows how farmers in northern Nigeria store sorghum, millet and maize stalks in tree forks when they do not have storage space at their homes.
Quoted from a UN research scientist working in Nigeria:
"Because of a long dry season (from Nov to June) in this region of the Sudan Savanna, farmers cut and bring every piece of crop residue for use during the dry season. Using the tree forks eliminates the risk of losing the fodder by grazing animals."

The previous post shows a farmer bringing back stover for storage on his bullock cart.
