Photographer's Note

Shot from the top of the Elim dune near Sesriem.
Red dunes, yellow grass on the plain, blue and violine moutains in the background create a unreal landscape.
Sorry, the blue sky is without clouds. It may rain on some part of the desert, once per century ! Only moisture of the night can help grass to grow !

The yellow part is not sand. It is dry grass.
The dunes are made of quartz coloured with metallic oxides. Really brown and become more and more orange/red when the sunset is coming.

It's not a colorized landscape. It is an absolutely real landscape, although the colors give him surrealist year aspect.
