Photographer's Note

Kolmanskop is a ghost town in the Namib desert in southern Namibia, founded in the early 1900's when diamonds were discovered here.
After the diamonds dried up and were found elsewhere, the once lively and flourishing town died and was abandoned.

All that inhabits the town now is the desert sands which are slowly reclaiming it.

One can just imagine a ghost gliding down the stairs here ;-)
