Wow, the dunes are absolutely amazing and the way they go up so sharply is unbelieving. It was a great idea of showing that blue sky triangle. It keeps everything in perspective and adds colour to the picture.
All the best for 2008.

Hi, Don -
Beautifully done. The shadow looks at first like another band of color, then you realize what it is. Even the border between the deep black shadow and the strong sky has only minor artifacts. And the tree is well done. The color of the foreground does look a little blown out, not badly, can be fixed with a touch of PP. So I did one; see what you think.

Dan

Hello Don,
Great composition for a fantastic place. I like the inclusion of the blue sky allowing for judging the slope inclination.
These bands of colors are magnificent and give a graphic rendering which is superb.
Have a great holiday season.

l'arrière plan très graphique donne une dimmension de modernité que l'on attend pas toujours d'un paysage Namibien. très belle photo

Hello Don,
A dune going that up that sharp... Never seen! According to the tree we see, that doesn't grows straight, is it possible the the road that we see at the front is not as flat as you suggest?

At first I thought this was a modernistic building. Lovely colours and contrasting shadows, with the tree and footprints adding perspective.

Hi Don,
You have a fantastic picture here on the composition. To bad the colors do not really match so i made some corrections in the workshop....hope you like it.
But it's the composition what really strikes me. You have a very good eye in seeing it like this in a place that is high on my list.
Good to see the Velvia back...still the best film around.
Thanks for uploading this one...makes me more realize that i have to there..
Regards, Henk

Don, the black shadow running along the dune is what really makes this photo special...to me. A very nice piece of work.

amazing landscape you've got here!!! Awesome, it is very spectacular, but i dont get the red thing, what was that? anyway, that tree is superb, great contrast plays between red and blues. Wonderful photo also, it's like an inverted Namibian flag :) with the inverted diagonal and instead of sun, a tree. great POV and well captured!!!! TFS
