Photographer's Note

The famous blue pattern of Essaouira, made of its small wooden boats dedicated to fishing sardines.

Those boats are staying in the harbour most of the day while their owners are preparing hooks and colorful boyers or repairing the old boats themselves.

When you come back in the evening, these fishermen are leaving the harbour to spend the night disseminating thousands of hooks in the sea, hoping for a good catch.

Next step for you is to come back to the harbour at midday, sit down in one of the white and blue stripped shop and taste the grilled sardines. Sooooo wonderful !
