Photographer's Note

We were lucky enough whilst driving through Western Sahara to be invited to share this sheep for the feast after Eid al Adha, at an army security post - a large tent near Dahkla where 4 soldiers were posted to prevent people accidentally driving too far off the road onto an old mine field. We were made very welcome, and the kababs made from the liver and kidneys were delicious! And I still send the Captain Agatha Christies books from time to time (translated into French)
