Photographer's Note

Place Moulay Hassan in Essaouira is a must. At the heart of the medina, it offers an ideal observation point.
For tourists, seated on the terraces, it is a real show. Especially during Ramadan, where as soon as the sun begins to decline, the square becomes a place of rendez-vous until the Ftour.
The Souiris them, wait for the muezzin's cry breaking the fast, contemplate another show which they never tired of : the ocean.
I was lucky to be beside the old man. His admiration for the ocean, for the waves crashing on the rocks, for the seagulls flying over the harbor a bit further, seems to be unconditional, even if it is his everyday life.
Of course, I wish he were alone on his wall... But difficult to get a lonely admirer as the place is popular. So rather than not do this picture and miss the man's expression, I preferred included the other two men in the background, which do not care about the sight !
