Photographer's Note

The little city of Agdz is the gate of the beautiful Drâa valley, a 90 kilometres long palm grove following the river Drâa, the longest river of Morocco (about 1,1000 km). The name of the city means "rest place" : the city was an important commercial place on the former caravan road from Marrakech to Tombouctou. The mountain in the background over the palm grove is Djebel Kissane.

The light conditions were very poor that day, it was hot, cloudy and I took the picture at the worst moment of the day. But thanks to Lightroom I could make it valuable to see I think ! This beautiful Drâa valley had to be on my travelogue anyway !
