Photographer's Note

Just a few metres from Ben Youssef medersa in Marrakech, we see an opened door, enter and here we are in a beautiful patio surrounded with arabic architecture style columns. We are in Dar Bellarj foundation, founded by two swiss sponsors and dedicated to the protection of Morocco culture. It hosts temporal exposures, concerts and workshops. The foundation used to be a fonduk (hotel or inn) where a wise old man took care of storks migrating to the south (Dar Bellarj means "house of the storks"). From 1950 to 1985 the place was used as a school. Then it was left derelict until it was restored and used to establish a foundation in 1999. The wood storks hanged over the patio remind the past of this house.
