Photographer's Note
I was very upset to hear this week of the bombing in Marrakesh at the Café Argana. In 2009 we enjoyed 2 evenings eating great Moroccan food on the balcony of Café Argana in Marrakesh watching the activity in the main square (Djeema El-Fna). After dark it is a fascinating place for watching all the activity of the food stalls and entertainment in the square. It is popular with both locals and tourists.
My heart goes out to all those affected by the bombing.
This photo shows the view from the Café Argana on a very peaceful night.

I too have lovely memories of Marrakesh and Djeema El-Fna square, Ian. This is a lovely exposure, full of atmosphere and in difficult light. I share your feeling for the victims.

Hello Ian,
The obscurantism and the stupidity have still killed. When the Humanity will abandon all its religious, political, economic certainties? Beautiful and interesting night-photo, realized with a good quality. Bravo.
Have a nice day

Hi Ian
This is a beautiful nocturnal image, the blue tones and the textures of the food are marvellous. As I said to Bulent regarding his Note and photo, it is also your Note that is the more important here. Such a tragedy which (like the poor Balinese people after the bombings) will affect their tourism and the livelihoods of the poor people who realy on tourism. Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a good evening. I'll call you tomorrow.
Warm regards
Lisa
