Photographer's Note
When we visited Merzouga which is popular for the beautiful sand dunes of Erg Chebbi we went to the biggest dune to see the sunrise there. It was more than profitable visiting that place. The view we had is something I´ll never forget. While we were enjoying the view over the desert I recognized some camels walking on the bottom of the dune. I immediately ran there to take some photos, as long as the shadows still were long. Well, and this is the result.
I hope you like it and can give me some good hints,
Jonas

Habe mich schon gewundert wo Du bleibst....statt weiße Ostern also Sonne und Sand.
Die Kompo ist excellent mit perfekter Position des Kamels.Dein POV ,eine hohe Düne? ist perfect und erlaubt eine tolle Perspective.Ein wirklich tolles Foto, welcome back.

This is a beautiful composition. The colors of dessert has come out really well and the lonely camel walking under sun really shows the expanse of the dessert. Great shot !!

Hallo Jonas,
Very good photo, you composed it very well!
I like that you put the camel in the lower right corner and let space on the left and the top. The mild brown colours also look nice, and the shadow of the camel, the sharpness and the quality are simply excellent! I like the frame too!
TFS!
Cheers,
Marci

Beautiful composition, Jonas. Can't see how you can improve this. Maybe increase the contrast just a wee bit? Very nice job!

Hi Jonas,
Well, that's just a perfect shot ! The camel is perfectly placed and has all space face to him. It is very well put in evidence thanks to the very simple background created by the sand. I love too the shadow on the dune. Thanks for posting.

Olivier

Hallo Jonas,
What can i say..??
At your age, and making these kind of pictures..!!!
Invest in photography, buy a serious dslr and start making a job from it in a few years. You are really good, you have a perfect eye in seeing and composing things. When i was at your age (a very long time ago) i did not even know how to hold a camera, so invest, and over 20 years you are standing in the National Geographic because your eye looks like magic..!!!
Have a nice weekend, Henk

Hi Jonas,
I like much the texture and the color of the sand which creates a marvellous background where this solitary dromedary is detached agreeably. Very pretty framing. A beautiful photograph, cheer and thank you for these superb memories for holidays !!!
With all my friendships and a very good WE,

Hello Jonas
I can only say one thing...you have a fantastic photographic eye Jonas & at this age! Looking at the composition I cannot but wonder, how beautiful your composition idea you have. The baby camel is absolutely in the right position & the colour striations on the dune makes this all the more appealing. Bravo Jonas!

Hallo Jonas,
He he a state of the art empty framing focusing the eye to the only element. With a horizontal symetry, you could get the camel running forward after its shade, thus matching our reading direction and adding fluidity.
Have a nice day JY

Bonjour Jonas,
composition minimaliste dans de belles couleurs et avec un cadrage avantageux, tu as placé beaucoup d'espace devant l'animal.
On dirait que le désert est dur , même pour lui.
Regards.
Daniel.

Hello Jonas
This camel is perfectly placed in the frame to add impact. Love also the textures of the sand that are visible thanks to a fine sharpness of the shot. Well done.

Superb capture, Jonas. Excellent isolation of the subject in the corner with a marvellous painting in the background. I love the fact that the patterns of the sand dune are perpendicular to the movement of the camel. Beautiful sandy minimalist one.

Hi Jonas
This picture is certainly going into my favorite list.
I love the solidarity and sense of lonliness depicted here. Also, great idea to set the Camel on the one side as you did.
Lovely photograph!
