Photographer's Note

I was standing and admiring a mosque just out of the frame and to the right when this image caught my eye. I was attracted by the cool white walls, and how important the figure with her cool green robe was made to look in contrast. I think I was really quite lucky to be presented with this scene and I think it has an air of mystery.
This is taken in the labyrinthine streets of the Fes medina, the largest medieval Arab city in the world. This particular is street is just that. It's not the interior of a building but is truly intended to be a public passageway.
