Photographer's Note

Very often in the island families meet on the beach to spend sunday together. It is also an occasion to cook in cauldrons that we can no more see in our countries. In Flic en Flac on Mauritius island people still follow this tradition, like on the neighbour Reunion island.

Un belle scène de la vie quotidienne locale.
J'apprécie ces silhouettes par rapport à l'arrière-plan.
Je suggère d'essayer pour le prochain coucher de ne pas centrer le soleil.

Magnifique scène de coucher de soleil éffectivement, je suis d'accord avec didi pour le soleil trop centré et j'aurais préféré une image un peu plus grande, surtout sur la largeur.

A wonderful sunset image. I've just returned from Mauritius and saw lots of families on the beach all weekend, cooking, talking and just enjoying a good wholesome family life. It made me think that sometimes we're missing out on the big picture here in the Western world with our relentless pursuit of the almighty dollar (or pound, Euro etc...) Long working hours, no time for families and the simple things in life.
