Photographer's Note
We were walking around in Mopti to see a little of the city, before heading off for Timbuktu the following day. We met some kids who wanted us to play with them, and of course they also wanted to be photographed. The smaller kids usually have a problem getting into the picture because the older kids usually stand in the way, so this guy was really happy when I pointed my camera at him. You can tell he was moving around a lot because focus is at the wrong distance. Hope you like the picture!

Hi Simon,
A great expression on the boy!
I like the close approach you had, really got "into" the eyes of the boy.
I'm wondering why you had a lot of zones out of focus, perhaps a too wide aperture for the distance to the subject?
Best regards,
JM
