Photographer's Note
in a position of good visibility..can see and be seen..the vulture searches for a kill..
vultures do not hunt nor eat fresh food...
nature has provided herself a scavenger along with the hyena to clean the mess off the masai mara floor after the cats have had the kill.

Hi Geof,
Good composition and interesting subject! The landscape is quite incredible, slowly rolling as long as the eye can see... looks like the guy in the tree already has spottede you! Nice work

Very interesting picture ! with this lonely tree half dead, half alive. maybe is it the last one and he looks so sick ! The bird is like symbolising the death..
I really like your composition !

Hello Geof. A good capture of this scavenger. It conveys his contempt for the world, just looking down on the rest of us from his bare perch. He wonders which of us will fall prey to a grassland predator and provide the carrion for his next meal.

Great composition with the vulture right in the middle as almost an extension of the tree.
The half dead tree emphasises the creepiness of the picture. It is as the the tree has been half eaten by a vulture.

artistic and symbolic interesting picture. What's the bulb on the left side of the tree. Is it an epiphyt or a nest?
