Photographer's Note

The hunt was a success.... the scene turned bloody just a moment later, douzen of hyenas chased the hunter away, but the lion came back with a whole family.
It was an amazing experience to witness such a scene, although the cruelty of the wild life is pretty much shocking
.... Hyenas would start their meal before killing the victim.... lions do it properly they would suffocate the animal before starting the feast.
I'm not gonna post the whole "story" could be too violent for some viewers, I guess, just few selected shots to illustrate the essential.... to be continued

A great action here, seems that the prey is going to die in moments.
I think it lacks a bit of colur, but the moment its impressive.

Very powerful image here. The lion's expression is almost tender instead of fierce. It reminds me of your Playground photo. Well seen. I agree with Patricio that the image seems a bit undersaturated.

wow, irina. a drama it is... i find it interesting how well the animal blends with the sun-schorched grass. you got quite some lucky timing to catch this moment. the lion's expression is unmistakeable. my hat off to you and your braveness.
