Photographer's Note

a mother holds onto her daughter in Masai country. Most of the nearly 1,000,000 Masai in Kenya live in the southern part of the country. They are a patriarchal and monotheistic people. The Masai are semi-nomadic and are able to farm in scrublands and deserts. Cows play a significant role in daily life.
