Photographer's Note
This Karo girl lives in a village above the bank of the Omo River in southern Ethiopia. It is a popular village for tourists to visit, with the fine background provided by the river. For those with sharp eyes, the lump behind her ear is chewing tobacco.
The Karo people are one of several pasturalist tribes in that region. Their language is closely related to the more populous Hamer tribe.

Hello Steve,
Great portrait in a perfect environment. I get a feeling she was quite used to posing for tourists. Maybe this was her favourite spot. Sharpness and exposure are impressive.
Best regards,
Gert

Hello Stephen!
Perfect sharpness at her and a good position in the frame.I like a lot her facial expresseion with the nice painting and the colorful necklets.
It is sad that there is new military conflict with Eritrea.

Hi Steve
Your subject today, being in the south, should be safe from the current troubles in Ethiopia.
Another good portrait with good brokeh in the background.
cheers
