Photographer's Note

Dallol, a special place in this world. Nothing is normal here. We are -120 m under the see level. It is a salt lake. And to complete the subject, under the salt there is a volcano...
Dallol is located in the north of the Etiopia, not far of the Eritrea, in the Afar land. The temperature is very hot. We have between 40 and 49°C during the 4 days that we spend at this place.
If the lake of the picture seems to be a nice small blue lake, is it in reallity aliquide with several component, not all very good to drink or bath. The water is yellow due to the different salt solved into it.
(no pocprocessing to change the colour, it is the real colours).
