Photographer's Note

Still on my analogue archives, I present you... Can you guess what? A cruise boat on the Nile with the name of a Cuban cocktail in a country where alcohol is almost banned because of religion (most of the population is Muslim)! :D

I have two posts somehow related with this one: one of the birthplace of the mojito, and another one showing some of the boats whose reflections appear here.

Nile cruises are one the things almost mandatory in any package tour in Egypt. The most popular, the one we did, is done between Luxor and Aswan. It was wonderful and quite relaxing. I guess the Nile alone would render Egypt a great destination even if there weren't any monuments. This was shot during the many hours the boat had to wait for its turn to cross the Esna lock, which only allows for the passage of two boats simultaneously.

On the WS's: #1 - a more panoramic view of the boat; #2 - more boats and unusual trade.

You can find all my TE posts of Egypt on this link.
