Photographer's Note
Medinet Habu is the Mortuary Temple of Ramesses III. It is less visited than the Temples in Luxor or Karnak. I wanted to see it because the colours on the columns are better preserved than in other temples.
On the last day in Luxor, we had to leave the ship after early lunch. I had my breakfast early. Near the ship there was a ferry station. I went there and I was alone. The guy took me to the other side for 5 dollars. It was too much but I was not sure how much time I needed. On the West bank, I went on foot. But soon the taxi drivers stopped offering the ride. One convinced me that I do not know where to buy the tickets to the temple (away from the temple). OK, 10 dollars.
When I came to the temple. there were no tourists, only the guards and the worker in the place of archaeological research/ It was fantastic to have the temple for me.
I liked the temple very much.
After visiting it, I knew that I had enough time, I had no reason to hurry. And I was wiser. At first, I lost my way a bit but soon I found it. Again the taxi drivers stopped. It was 7 km to the river. Finally, I agreed to go by taxi for 40 LE (Egyptian pounds (2,5 USD)). At the river, I didn't go to the first ferry, I saw another boat with the locals. I went there. I didn't know the price. I knew how to ask (bekam dah?) but I just gave 10 LE note and got 5 LE rest (0,3 USD).
The conclusion: When it is you who dictates the conditions, it is much cheaper. I knew it before but not always it is easy to do. Anyway, I was happy to see the Medinet Habu temple and after it, I even had enough time to go round the Luxor temple during the day.
In the Workshop another views.

Ciao Malgo,I am very pleased to see this temple again, a photo of me taken here ended up in a well-known Spanish monthly that also contact me to describe my profile, it was very gratifying. The photos are excellent and of excellent quality, then without tourists they are even better. I also like to read your bargaining, I happen to take fake euros at the bar, and I take them on a trip to pay for the bargaining for services or souvenirs, and it is always a satisfaction to cheat those who try to do it with you .. ahaha .. Have a nice evening and thanks,Luciano

Swietny kadr! Super kolorystyka, wspanialy kontrast miedzy barwami dopelniajacymi. Ludzie zlapani w idealnym momencie dodaja lokalnego kolorytu, fajny jest tez cien palmy.
Dobrze dobrany format panoramiczny.
Pozdrawiam serdecznie

Hello Malgo,
I am never been in Egypt, I've feel a typical Arabica wall.
High strong and protected from enemies.
Two men show perfect for the scale.
Your both additional pictures showing our perfect the building dimensions.
Three nice pictures to look at.
Very well done, TFS.
Best regards,
John

Hello Malgo,
I like the intensity of the colours and the plainness of the composition, just showing that fantastic wall and two men walking towards the gate. The shadow of a palm tree is a great detail.

Hello Malgo.
Sensational view of this great temple, with the perspective of the entrance door and more buildings inside, magnificent also the photos of the WS, how wonderful to be able to visit Egypt again, but I do not know if it is safe in these times.
A beautiful composition, with great colors, splendid lighting and excellent sharpness with fine details.
Very well done, I like it
All the best for you.
Luis.

Hello Malgo,
It must feel great to have such an important historic place all for yourself.
The gate and the walls look enormous. We can estimate the dimensions well thanks to the two Egyptians in the picture.
Very nice with the two strongly contrasting colours: blue and yellow brownish.
I like the shadow of the palm tree. Also this shadow indicates how huge the walls are.
Best regards, Paul

Hi Malgo,
The presence of the persons has an effect of scale. The point of view is showing the details of the Medinet Habu. The light is making the colors to stand out. Have a nice dya.

Medinet Habu was fabulous. Good inclusion of the 2 local Egyptians for scale. Excellent perspective and sharpness with fantastic warm vs cold colour contrasts. Tfs!

Hello Malgo, three informative shots that seem to emphasise the size and scale of the Temple.
Beautiful walls, which look to be incredibly well preserved.
The inclusion of one or two people give us an excellent idea of the scale.
Thanks for sharing.
Kind regards, Jean.
