Photographer's Note

Another shot of Akhenaton (Amenhotep III), this time from the Luxor Museum. He has been proven through DNA to be the father of Tutankhamen. This Akhenaton statue was retrieved from nearby Karnak, and dates from the 18th dynasty. He was infamous for abandoning the State religion and forcing the worship of one God instead of many (Atenism, the worship of the sun). More information on the Luxor Museum here:
