Photographer's Note
Some interesting statues at the entrance to the Alexandria Library. I've added a faint sepia tone as the original was almost b&w. The original library was one of the 7 wonders of the world but was destroyed by fire during the invasion by Julius Caesar in 48 BC. The new library was completed in 2002 AD.

Hi Chris,
Interesting relief. On a quick glance it reminds of ancient Egyptian drawings. But closer look shows modern style. Excellent light showing all the forms clearly. Your toning looks good.

Hello Chris,
This is an interesting modernized version of the traditional Egyptian figures. A bit similar, but actually rather different. The photo is well cropped and the sepia tone was probably a good idea.
Best regards,
Gert

Bonjour Chris,
Le cadrage serré met les statues en évidence. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails des statues. La lumière donne de belles teintes aux couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

Magnificent ancient carved statues with the wall on ttheir background, Chris.
In older era there were no camera, so people got their skills with painting and sculpting, unlike nowadays.
Good evening,

Hello Chris.
A magnificent composition with this detail in the modern Library of Alexandria, these two reliefs are fantastic in this modern style but recovering a touch of antiquity in execution.
Good brightness and sharpness management.
Well done. Love it.
Have a great day.
Very best regards.
Luis.

Hello Chris,
I've visited the Bibliotheca Alexandrina but I cannot remember the entrance.

Hello Chris, These statues are modern and at the same time a bit traditional. Interesting detail. I was in Alexandria 30 years ago, so the library wasn't there yet. Perfect composition.
Best regards Malgo
