Where it is this open zoo ? it must be recent in the area.
The use of a small focal lens gives spectacular effects of perspective. If you remade a photograph of this style, do not hesitate to close a little more the diaphragm to widen the depth of field.

This one great and its time to give comment - Hope your fingers and camera survived ;-) an excellent capture of a parrot (Ara) - Its almost like he wants to speak. Well spotted and captured.
