Local fishermen at a seriously corroded dock of Gamboa Beach next to the old town of Praia. It is the capital of Cape Verde, and the name means beach in English.

Hi Kari,
so you spent the New Year time in Cape Verde?
To me, this country's name sounds quite mysterious... maybe because I know very little about it.
It's a very well composed photo, and the scene is much enlivened by the "splashes" of red colour :)
but what looks really amazing is the "soft" slightly blurred background!

Good title, again alluding to a song. A great scene captured of these locals going about their daily life. The light was doing you no favours, but you still delivered a striking shot.
