The airport of Sao Vicente is a tiny place...It's really easy to engage most of the passengers into a short talk and then move to the photography-activity...
that unknown fellow, though, did not say a word to me, he just posed, and he did it eagerly...

hello jerzy

a masterly managed portrait shot... he does not seem to be posing at all, rather staring at you attentively. i love the contrasts and the texture of his skin(character) you are showing here.

What a wonderful light,a true portrait great face expression
and that light that comes in to the eyes is wonderful.I just wonder if it's not a little overexposed the right side of the face.In Polonaise's style no doubt.

That's a superb portrait with an excellent use of lights and shades. The hard contrasts are working well. The direct eye contact is also well chosen.

Jurku, tak nie do konca widzi mi sie to zdjecie...
Czlowiek sympatyczny...
Usmiech jest...
No ale brakuje mu albo zajecia (czlowiek w akcji) albo jakiejs chararakterystycznosci...
Moze jestem bardziej przyzwyczajona do roznokolorowych twarzy, zyjac tutaj...
No a poza tym widzisz braki techniczne...chociaz chyba probowales klajstrowac przepalenia, to i tak one sa...Slonce powinno tutaj padac na TYL jego glowy, tam, gdzie my nie mozemy zobaczyc...Z pewnoscia nie mogles z nim sie dogadac, azeby go "ustawic" w swietle, jak trzeba...No ale w takim razie, na Twoim miejscu, nie wstawialabym...Wiem, ze szkoda, ale przecie Ty osiagnales na TE taki wysoki poziom, zanim ja Cie tutaj znalazlam i zanim zaczelam w ogole cos robic...Gdybys byl poczatkujacym Teowiczem, z kompaktowym aparatem, to bym bila bravo. A tak, czegos mi brak...

Ja na technice za bardzo sie nie znam, ale f 6.3 i 1/100 to nie sa wartosci dopasowane do takiej slonecznej sytuacji, moim skromnym zdaniem. Przeslona powinna byc bardziej zamknieta, a czas naswietlenia o wiele szybszy...

This one is much better, J. Sure that the excellent presentation much help a lot. Too much pp? I don't know but I like it a lot and he's close enough to make it a great portrait. We can feel he's face talking...
Have fun with the lessons, hope you don't use that green hair in them :)
