I stopped just to record the spelling error. But while I was taking the picture, the girl appeared suddenly and I got this photo as it is. When I saw the result, I liked the wall colours and the elegance of the Girl from Salamansa.

Salamansa is a fishing village on the northern shore of São Vicente Island, between Mindelo and Baía das Gatas.

Eu parei só para registar o erro ortográfico. Estava apontando quando apareceu a crioula de repente. E assim ficou. Ao ver a foto gostei das cores da parede e do ar elegante da Garota de Salamansa.

It is a nice mix of colors - and a nice model you've managed to candidly shoot. Its a pity she's nearly dead centre tho in my opinion.

After the Girl from Ipanema, we have the girl from Salamansa !!! :)
I like the attitude of that girl, nice colours around too.
Maybe I would have chosen a vertical compo though.

Até pensei que fizesse parte de algum dialecto de lá...Bem sei que apanhaste a cena de repente, mas mais uma vez, ficaria melhor se ela não estivesse tão centrada. Ups, reparei agora no ws que fizeram - acho que funciona.
À salganhada que representa este alçado, até acho piada.

Ola Francisco . La imagen es sencillamente espectacular mas alli de refinamientos tecnicos sobre el posicionamiento de la chica mas a un lado (no tan centrada).Hay muy buena luminosidad , bellos colores y la silueta distraida y espontanea de la bella garota de Salamansa .Muy buena foto

Hi Francisco,
A very unusaul shot but effective. I would just say that in this shot of spelling errors, contours are visible and she is seeing you from the corner of the eye.

Não penses que passaste despercebido, a nitidez é tão boa que dá para ver o olhar de soslaio da garota de Salamansa a te vigiar ;-) Muito elegante, de uma elegância natural. Colocaste a foto na categoria "arquitetura" - e é mesmo um projeto realizado com sucesso! Falo da bela moça, com um penteado extravagante, que não ficaria bom em qualquer cabeça. Na dela, pelo fato de ser muito charmosa, está ótimo!

P.S.: falando nos tais penteados, vou ver se fotografo uma jovem por aqui, arrumada para uma festa qualquer - incrível como a moda remexe mesmo com a cabeça das mulheres ;-)

a beautifully artistic photo. A triumph of composition. She is thin, like a vertical architectural line dividing the picture exactly in half. To the left, you have the artistic sides of things, with irregular lines and creative designs and disparate angles. To the right, you have more austere, more conforming, straight-ups and -downs. She is the division between exact halves. To know how to break the rules well, you must first know the rules; and our photographer has placed his perfectly vertical subject right in the middle of the picture--which lesser photographers would not dare to try. That is Francisco's triumph here. And look at the girl: like the rest of the picture, she is also perfectly divided between minimalist logic and flamboyance--see her thongs? See her hair? This is advanced photography, very sophisticated, very symbolic and rich; and it has been taken by the highly creative eye of a very advanced artist.
