Colors of Avenida Marginal, a photo from Sao Vicente, Barlavento

Avenida Marginal (officially Avenida Amílcar Cabral) is the seaside boulevard of Mindelo, Cape Verde’s second city, in São Vicente Island, on the shore of Porto Grande Bay. It is lined by colorful colonial buildings (but a few need repair). On the other side of this avenue there is a replica of Lisbon's Torre de Belém.
This section of the Avenida Marginal is the right side of my shot Mindelo waterfront.
At left side there is the mural that you can see in my next post: Poema Mindelense.

A Avenida Marginal (oficialmente Avenida Amílcar Cabral) está junto à baía do Porto Grande, no Mindelo, na ilha de São Vicente de Cabo Verde. Tem vários prédios do tempo colonial (alguns necessitando repação). No outro extremo desta avenida há um réplica da Torre de Belém de Lisboa.
Esta parte da Avenida Marginal está à direita da minha foto Mindelo waterfront.
À esquerda está o mural da minha próxima foto: Poema Mindelense.

I know your POV and you know,I posted a very simillar image.
OH Cape Verde,I loved it, especially this town and I`m sure I`ll come back one day.
I like your POV and the well saturated colors.I often listen to my CD`s ,I bought there.

Your composition and POV are great showing these buildings from an angle that gives the shot direction. The road creates a nice diagonal through the shot creating a nice lead in. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness and detail.

Bom dia Francisco, embora o ângulo seja diferente dá para reconhecer as mesmas fachadas nas duas fotos. Esta está muito bonita e aquele azul mais forte lá atrás salta logo à vista. O detalhe do mural do lado esquerdo não me escapou...não me lembro de o ter visto antes na tua galeria, embora a minha memória não seja de confiança.

What a perfectly framed and captured image: The splendid detail of the beautiful buildings angling down the street framed between the clouds, palms and street. The shadows of the palm trees add drama. Superb light management, wonderful, natural colors.

Hello Francisco, this Avenida Marginal of Mindelo looks like the Avenida Marginal of Lisboa, especially the area between Alges and Caxias. Frames of the windows and doors are more or less the same.

Olá Francisco. Normalmente eu apago os sinais e outras coisas (sempre que posso). Esse sinal está perfeito apontando o caminho a seguir pela nossa vista. Bem vísivel a influência portuga nessa imagem, já que, podia tratar-se de qualquer vila ou pequena cidade de Portugal. Um pouco de grão no céu (nada que me faça doer os olhos). Well done. Abraço. Sempre achei que esta cidade deve valer bem a pena. Boa perspectiva desta avenida! A arquitectura e as cores das casas são fantásticas. O Poema Mindelense não me escapou, amanhã passo lá!

what wonderful light you have here. Beautiful clear color and I like the way the row of houses lead into the shot and the street curves around. Revisando por tu galeria encuentro esta foto que me parece lo mas de atractiva con este bonito y diverso colorido de las casas, el cielo con unas nubes fantasticas y una gran calidad y luminosidad.

linda vista urbana, as tamareiras das canárias ficaram bem bonitas aqui junto ás fachadas coloridas, sem saber alguém poderia pensar que esta vista fosse de alguma cidade portuguesa. boa luz, cores e nitidez.há algum sistema de barcas de passageiros que ligam estas ilhas umas às outras ? algo como comboios-marinhos ou ferry-boats ligando cidades distantes e com horários frequentes ?
